Socjologia miasta w Polsce po 1989 roku — meandry i zawirowania

Abstract

The paper attempts at seizing synthetically the achievements of Poland’s urban sociology after 1898. The summary statements have been passed after taking into account the most interesting theoretical researches (their trends and threats) that have arisen since then. Moreover, the analysis presented here contrasts the periods before and after the caesura of 1989, with the aim of assessing the realms of: 1) continuity; 2) permanence; 3) the paradigms possibly dropped. The author’s objective is, at length, showing the specifics of the discussed period of the history of the sub-discipline in Poland and setting it in a historical perspective.
