Archiwum Danych Jakościowych Instytutu Filozofii i Socjologii PAN (ADJ)
Abstrakt
The Qualitative Data Archive (ADJ), operating at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was established to preserve and facilitate the reuse of qualitative social research materials. It addresses the loss and fragmentation of key sociological datasets and offers a platform for their digital storage and accessibility. Since 2012, ADJ has not only built a technical infrastructure but also developed procedures for responsible data sharing, contributing to the openness of research practices in the social sciences.
The archive contains a wide array of materials—from founda- tional studies by figures such as Stanisław Ossowski to recent investigations on the COvID-19 pandemic. It supports diverse research methods and fosters new analyses, including follow-up interviews and reinterpretations. As a resource for scholars, educators, and students, ADJ enables insights into the empirical and methodological foundations of Polish sociology. Its continued development reflects a growing recognition of the value of archival data for interdisciplinary research, historical reflection, and innovation in qualitative inquiry.
